Sarah van Hellenberg Hubar-Fisher is Chief Executive Officer of Bioretec, a Finnish medtech pioneer in absorbable orthopedic implants. With more than 23 years of international healthcare and medical technology leadership, she brings a track record of turning breakthrough technologies into scalable businesses, informed by senior roles at J& J, and venture investing positions at firms such as Nina Capital and Growth Science Ventures.
Before becoming CEO in 2025, van Hellenberg Hubar-Fisher served on Bioretec’s Board of Directors since 2021 and as interim CEO, giving her deep institutional insight into the company’s strategy and operations. In addition to her executive role, she contributes to advancing global health as a board and advisory member to organizations including Global Surgical Initiatives, supporting sustainable access to high-quality surgical care in underserved communities.
