Anita brings twenty five years of experience in medical devices across multiple disciplines. She joined Johnson & Johnson in 1997 as a Design Engineer in the Knee Product Development group. During her time in the Research & Development organization, Anita held various positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of Product Development, Research & Testing, Lifecycle Management, Front-End, and Portfolio Management.
In 2013, Anita made the cross-functional career move to join the Quality organization and held various leadership roles supporting Synthes Material Science & Biocompatibility, Quality Systems, and Regulatory Compliance. Most recently, Anita was Sr. Director, Quality & Compliance for Mitek Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction where she served as Management Representative, platform leadership Quality representative, and was responsible for driving product pipeline and growth strategies while ensuring Quality and Compliance for the Sports & Shoulder platform.
After 6 years within the Supply Chain organization, Anita moved back to the Research & Development function as Vice President of Research & Development for Mitek Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction. In this global role, Anita shapes the future of Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction platform R&D vision, strategy, portfolio, and talent pipeline. She is accountable for the end to end new product development process from conception through launch and post launch support. Anita builds on her strong relationships with cross functional stakeholders to translate customer insights into product solutions that deliver benefit to customers while maximizing portfolio value and business growth.
Anita is passionate about developing products that advance clinical outcomes and restore patients’ lives. She gives energy and focus to the development of her staff and the culture of her organization.
Anita holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University. Additionally, she is a 2018 graduate of the first Compass EQLD leadership development program which brings together the Supply Chain and Quality & Compliance Leaders in a cross segment global accelerated leadership development journey.
Anita, her husband, and three amazing sons enjoy active vacations surrounded by mountains and lakes.
