Chad Dague is a Staff Systems Engineer in the Heart Failure Division at Abbott, developing mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices. He contributed to the design and development of three generations of left ventricular assist systems (LVAS), first as an R&D electrical design engineer, then as a systems engineer, through multiple acquisitions by Thoratec Laboratories (2001), St. Jude Medical (2015), and Abbott (2017). Chad has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.
