Dan Clark had long felt an obligation to support great ideas that bring a positive shift in the standard and continuum of care in vascular access and medical tubing as a whole. Then he met Dr. Ryan Dennis, who had an idea for a solution but lacked the commercial expertise to bring it to fruition. That synergy sparked a strategic approach, from development, to regulatory, and through to commercialization, for the Orchid SRV, a proprietary, breakaway safety valve platform that’s been shown to reduce IV dislodgement by some 92 percent. A serial entrepreneur who’s worked in the medical device industry for more than 15 years, Dan is passionate about supporting new ventures that foster real changes in patient care, serving as an advisor and board member for several early-stage medical device companies. He has extensive experience in product innovation, design, and commercialization (pipeline development), identifying short- and long-term strategic goals from an international perspective. Dan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with a management minor from Purdue University.
