Doug has over 30 years of experience in Global Sales, Marketing, General Management, and Operations roles as an executive in the technology sector with NVIDIA, Logitech, and AMD.
In 1993, Doug was an early employee of Logitech Inc. and helped found and, ultimately, lead the Canadian Office in Toronto before being asked to move to Austin, TX and run the US Consumer Sales Organization. Doug then moved to NVIDIA where he was Head of North and South American GeForce Channel Sales responsible for all GeForce Sales and Marketing and Add-In Board Manufacturer support, sales, and field engineering. After 8 years, Doug
transitioned to Head of Worldwide Business Development, Mobile Processing.
In 2013, Doug moved to AMD to run Worldwide Consumer Graphics Sales overseeing a $600M global business. Doug’s transition from semiconductors to medical devices occurred in 2016 while acting as an Entrepreneurial Advisor at UT’s Texas Innovation Center and working with Professor Chris Rylander and other UT Faculty on commercialization and tech transfer. He currently is an advisor/mentor for the Texas Health Catalyst at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and at the Austin Technology Incubator and is a co-recipient of the inaugural Health Innovation Award at UT’s Inventor of the Year Awards.
Doug also guest lectures about innovation, entrepreneurship, and communication at UT’s Dell School of Medicine and Cockrell School of Engineering.
Doug holds a BA (Political Science, Economics) from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Originally from Toronto, Doug and his family have lived in Austin for over 23 years and enjoy hiking and attending as much live music as they can.
