Ivan recently joined us from Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, where he was the VP of Medical, Clinical, and Scientific Affairs. Before that, he held positions in engineering, business, and medical affairs at Philips, culminating in his position as Associate Chief Medical Officer. He was on the team that developed the world’s first 3D Transesophageal Echo that has become standard of care for heart surgery and opened the way for Image Guided Cardiac Surgery. Ivan has worked in AI applied to Medicine throughout his career and has led several AI teams at Philips. In addition, he was on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Anesthesiology & Critical Care.
Dr. Salgo has a BS and MS in Engineering from Columbia, an MBA from MIT, and an MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He holds 30 patents and has over 75 peer reviewed publications in medicine and engineering.
