Jed Palmer joined Tecan’s technology development group, Emphysys, in 2016 as a Mechanical Engineer and has since moved into the role of Program Manager. Working in both medical and industrial technology development, he brings nearly 15 years of multidisciplinary R&D systems development experience to bear on the unique and challenging problems facing today’s medical device developers.
Jed is currently responsible for several key medical device and life sciences instrument development projects serving both internal (Tecan) and external clients. Prior to joining Emphysys, Jed held development roles in the non-destructive testing and industrial material processing industries.
He holds several patents in these fields as well as a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University in Medford, MA.
