Jennifer Doyle, Vice President, Clinical Research & Medical Science, is responsible for the successful integration and development of the clinical research and medical science communities across Medtronic, shaping them into a cohesive and highly optimal function. Jen provides oversight to leaders of Corporate Clinical Quality and Compliance, Biostatistics, Post-Approval Clinical Surveillance and Evidence Optimization. She also supports Medtronic’s operating units and regional clinical/medical teams through her leadership and collaboration.
Jen started her career with Medtronic through the acquisition of Covidien. Prior to her current role, Jen led Pre-Clinical Affairs, Clinical Research, Healthcare Economics, Policy and Reimbursement, Medical Science and Professional Affairs and Clinical Education in several different business units in the Medical/Surgical portfolio. Previously, Jen spent four years at the start-up Confluent Surgical before it was acquired by Covidien in 2006.
Over the past 18 years with the company, she has held various leadership roles of increasing responsibility in clinical research and medical science. Her expertise lies in building and leading large multi-function teams focused on working together to address market access barriers. She has designed and executed many complex clinical trials with vast experience in regulatory agency negotiations (FDA, Notified Body) to drive product approvals.
Jen chairs the governance for Medtronic’s clinical/medical function, bringing all operating units, regional and functional leaders together to optimize the contributions from clinical research and medical science.
Jen helped to start the Medtronic Women’s Network hub in Mansfield, MA, currently over 300 members, and now acts as the hub’s executive co-sponsor.
Jen received an MS degree in Drug Regulatory Affairs and Health Policy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and a BS degree in Biochemistry from St. Bonaventure University, New York.
