Katy Fraser, BSN RN, began her professional career as a cardiac step-down and CVICU nurse. In 2006, she joined the company that is now Abbott holding various roles within the Clinical Field, as well as Training and Education Department. She is currently Staff Strategist in Global Medical Affairs for Abbott’s Heart Failure Division. Katy has focused her career on collaborating with clinicians and the community to uncover opportunities for the underserved suffering from Heart Failure. She is dedicated to addressing age, gender, and racial disparities within Heart Failure. Katy contributed to the recent FDA expanded indication of the HeartMate 3 LVAS to include pediatric, congenital, and smaller sized patients.
Katy Fraser received her Bachelor of Science of Nursing from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
