Nikita Gaurav is an early-stage investor with domain expertise in medical devices, biotechnology, digital and consumer health, materials science, and manufacturing technology. She focuses on sourcing investments for venture capital fund Necessary Ventures. Nikita has several years of R&D, manufacturing and quality engineering experience in the medical device industry. She has worked for top companies: Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, and Abbott, and has expertise developing orthopedic, cardiac, and diabetes devices. She also leads engineering design quality at Bionaut Labs, a company focused on targeted drug delivery within the brain for oncological and neurodegenerative purposes. With her involvement in venture capital and technical background, Nikita aims to help founders bridge the gap between their novel research and related clinical market applications. She is passionate about making innovative healthcare products and services more accessible, equitable and patient-focused. Nikita received her degree in Materials Engineering and Entrepreneurship from Purdue University.
