Dr. Steven Mickelsen brings more than a decade of experience in the development of breakthrough therapeutic medical devices. He is a practicing board certified electrophysiologist and serves as the Chief Translational Science Officer of Acutus Medical. Mickelsen is also the founder of Farapulse and inventor of its Pulsed Field Ablation technology. He received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and clinical research at the Mayo Clinic. He completed fellowships in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and was a Howard Hughes research scholar at the National Institutes of Health.
