Sean McNulty leads the Boston Scientific research and development team for Electrophysiology, supporting the Boston Scientific New Product Development and Sustaining teams. Sean has been with Boston Scientific since 2019, previously as an R&D director in Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) and Structural Heart Valves (SHV), leading the Mitral & Tricuspid R&D team and SHV R&D team. Prior to joining Boston Scientific, Sean spent 12 years at Abbott holding leadership roles in Program Management and R&D where he focused on both product development and applied research and technology in the fields of pediatric and congenital heart defect closure, stroke prevention, and EP mapping and ablation. Throughout his career Sean has been passionate about STEM outreach and has helped create industry partnerships within his communities. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a Master of Science in the management of technology from the University of Minnesota. Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid mountain biker and backcountry skier.
